In 2022, a recurring anomaly in substation load logs suggested the reporting model itself was incomplete.

Three substations were absorbing more load than their sensors admitted. What began as a footnote in a personal research log became the opening of a longer investigation: how energy grids could report on themselves honestly.

"The grid wasn't lying. It just wasn't being asked the right question."

By 2023 the same signal was pulled from four regions instead of one. The pattern held. A pipeline turned raw substation logs into usable field data, and the anomaly stopped looking local.

In 2024 independent review confirmed the load-reporting gap was structural, not local. The methodology behind the field chapters held under scrutiny.

In 2025 a regional utility adopted the corrected reporting model on a trial substation cluster — the idea moved from investigation into applied pilot.

What changed: the corrected model left the research log and entered a live trial.
